Introduction
PFF is a non-governmental organization duly registered in the Republic of Zambia under the NGO Act of 2009. The organization was formed to look into the welfare of serving and former inmates, including citizens who come in contact with the justice system. Its objective is to respond to the rights of serving, ex- inmates and indigents in Zambian societies.
PFF has been working with Zambia Correctional Service to improve health, hygiene and nutrition conditions for the ill, the children and other vulnerable groups specifically, including the general prison population. Furthermore, PFF has strongly been advocating for improved living conditions and health rights of inmates in Zambian Correctional Centres/Prisons.
Roles and Responsibilities of the health Intern:
- Provide technical and general assistance in successful implementation of existing Health project
- Provide technical support in the development of health related concept notes and project proposals to prospective donors, cooperating partners and other funders
- Assist programmes in preparation and analyzing relevant reports
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent spoken and written English language
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a clinical and maternity setting is an asset.
- Ability to prepare weekly and monthly program reports.
- Be flexible and adaptable with regard to the implementation of the daily work

Qualifications and requirements:
- Diploma in Clinical/ Nursing/Public health or related programme
- Familiarity with Zambian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable
